Ron Johnson

Technical Consultant

Ron Johnson works with more than 40 of the NHL’s top players including Kesler, Marleau and Pavelski as well numerous AHL, NCAA, CHL and BCHL/USHL players. He specializes in hockey biomechanics and has founded two international research companies evaluating skating, puck control and physiology in the game of hockey. Ron has been certified by Hockey Canada as an elite coach and has won multiple Coach of the Year awards at both the amateur and junior levels.

Dino Caputo

Tri-City Americans

Dino Caputo has been a Regional Scout with the Tri-City Americans WHL team for the past 8 years. Dino’s hockey experience includes working as an assistant coach at the University of Lethbridge and Head WHL Scout for 5 years with International Scouting Services. He has also been part of Hockey Canada’s program of excellence as a University of Lethbridge hockey player, he was an Academic All Canadian and was nominated nationally for the Dr. Randy Gregg Award for leadership, academics and community service. In his 5-year junior hockey career, Dino played for WHL Victoria Cougars, BCHL Prince George Spruce Kings and captained the Trail Smoke Eaters.

Kevin Henry

Western Elite Hockey Prospects

Kevin operates Western Elite Hockey Prospects—providing scouting, interviewing, and information services for players born '06-'08 in Western Canada and the United States. Kevin’s coaching experience spans two decades and he is currently the Head Coach for the U18 AA Humboldt Broncos in the SAAHL. He continues to coach spring AAA programs, runs high performance hockey development programs in Prince Albert and Saskatoon, and works with player recruiting for the CSSHL teams. Kevin's son, Matt Henry, plays left wing for the Brandon Wheat Kings in the WHL.

Shawn McBride

Delta Hockey Academy

Shawn McBride has been an important part of the Delta Hockey Academy (DHA) for almost a decade. In his time at DHA Shawn has been a major contributor to a large number of BCHL and WHL players. Shawn is also a shareholder at Impact Hockey Development based in BC which has produced current NHL players such as Shea Theodore, Brenden Dillon, and Danton Heinan.

Jeff Pickell

Calgary Buffalo Hockey Association

Jeff is a graduate of the American Coaching Academy and is a Development 1 certified coach and has worked with different power skating and hockey skill development organizations including a mentorship with Wally Kozun (Coach of the Women’s Olympic Gold Medal Team). Most recently Jeff has had the opportunity to coach and develop players to compete throughout North America such as Vancouver, Winnipeg, Anaheim, and Minnesota. Jeff also represented the Western Canada Selects team as an Associate Coach at the World Selects International tournament held in Bolzano, Italy. Jeff is currently coaching at the U-15 level for the Calgary Buffalo Hockey Association (CBHA).

Keith Henry B.ED, LL.B

Western Elite Hockey Prospects

Keith Henry serves as President of the BC Métis Federation as well as the President and CEO for the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada. The foundation of his career success is built upon the discipline he learned through hockey where he played Junior A for the Flin Flon Bombers. Keith’s son Ciaran is an 08 attending the Delta Hockey Academy in the CSSH. Keith supports his son’s hockey journey and has coached the Vancouver Leafs Elite spring team for a number of years. Keith is the General Manager for Western Elite Hockey Prospects and continues to support the hockey community throughout Western Canada.
